Frequently Asked Questions

What is Zipper Integrated Cabling?

DGA’s patent pending Zipper Integrated Cabling is created by individually bonding zipper teeth onto durable braided nylon cabling. This new cabling is nearly impossible to tangle yet still maintains the flexibility of standard cabling.

Is there any risk of being pinched by the zipper?

DGA has taken every precaution to minimize this risk. The plastic teeth used in Zipbuds are much more forgiving in terms of pinching / snagging when compared to their metal or nylon counterparts. The height of the top of the zipper was also designed to stop before the base of a person’s neck. This further reduces the risk of pinching.

How do I use the Zipbuds Sport Ear Clips?

The included Zipbuds Sport Ear Clips are ideal for ensuring a secure fit during any physical activity.

Step 1: Hold the ear clip so that the cable notches on the back are facing towards you.

Step 2: Slide the headphone cable into the top notch with the earbud facing away from the ear (There should be about 1 ½” of cabling between the ear clip and the earbud).

Step 3: Secure the headphone cable by sliding it into the bottom cable notch.

Step 4: Place the ear clips around the back of your ears and gently insert the Zipbuds into your ears.

How do I use the in-line microphone/remote? (NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE)

Phone Calls: When you receive a call, click the button located on the microphone once to answer the call and click it once more to hang up.

Music: While listening to music on your mp3 player, click the button once to play/pause your music and double click the button to skip songs.

How do I know if the ear tip has made a good seal inside of my ear?

When a good seal has been made, exterior noise should be considerably reduced and your own voice will seem louder. Creating a good seal will allow you to enjoy music at a lower volume while still maintaining an immersive listening experience.

Can in-ear earphones damage my hearing?

There is a certain level of risk associated with any kind of high volume listening. As stated previously, creating a good seal will allow you to enjoy your music without turning the volume to a high level. Always begin listening to your music at a low level and turn it up gradually to an enjoyable and comfortable level.

How durable are Zipbuds Earphones?

DGA always selects the highest quality materials when producing its audio products. Every set of Zipbuds Earphones is subjected to intensive quality testing before it is packaged and shipped. If you feel your set of Zipbuds is below your own standard of quality, please contact DGA customer support at Info@DigitalGroupAudio.com. We promise to do everything in our power to rectify your issue in a quick and friendly manner.

Why do Zipbuds Earphones come with three different ear tip sizes?

Zipbuds Earphones are designed to fit inside the ear canal. Since ear canal measurements vary from person to person, DGA has included different ear tip sizes so you can select the one that fits you the best.

How do I know which ear tip size is right for me?

We recommend that you try all ear tip sizes in order to determine which one fits you most comfortably and provides the best in-ear seal. Please note that your ideal ear tip size may be different for each of your ears.

What if I get wax build-up in my eartips/earbuds?

Wax build-up is natural and may occur over time. To clean your Zipbuds Earphones, first remove the two ear tips from the earbuds by pulling on them gently. You can use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the earbud housing. Water or rubbing alcohol can be used to clean the silicon ear tips.

Will Zipbuds Earphones work with my Apple iPhone?

Zipbuds Earphones are compatible with the Apple iPhone, iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano, iPod shuffle, and any device that has a 3.5 mm audio jack (this includes laptops and computers as well).
